The 1st LaGrange Southeast Regional features an extraordinary, rich body of art work selected from over 450 works submitted by almost 15o artists representing the twelve-state Southeastern united States. It celebrates the rich legacy of talent within our region, provides its citizens access to current artistic practice, and offers artists exhibition opportunities and purchase possibilities.
The Art Museum collects and presents contemporary art by emerging and established artists with an emphasis on regional artists as well as outsider and folk artists from the lower Chattahoochee Trace: The Regional affords the LaGrange Art Museum a means for increasing its permanent holdings though Purchase Awards.
Masur Museum of Art: Recent Acquisitions and Favorites

This exhibition will highlight recent acquisitions and favorites from the Masur Museum of Art’s permanent collection. While specifically outlining our collecting habits, it will also deal with broad artistic and historic trends, as well as those in the American South.
Recent Acquisitions & Favorites will feature work by Ron Adams, Robin Bernat, John James Audubon, Richard Buswell, Mary Cassatt, Joshua Chambers, Clyde Connell, Samuel Corso, Salvador Dali, Bruce Davidson, Alexander Drysdale, Jenny Ellerbe, Michael Elliot-Smith, Frank Hamrick, Thomas Hart Benton, Albino Hinojosa, Damien Hirst, Jim Isermann, Peter Jones, Ida Kohlmeyer, Eugene Martin, Robert Motherwell, Greely Myatt, Ed Pinkston, Alberto Rey, Auguste Rodin, George Rodrigue, Vitus Shell, Ann Shields, Julian Stanczak, Bill Viola, Bob Ward, Douglas Weathersby, and others.

I finally had the chance to visit the Masur and see my work on the wall. It’s great to be included in a permanent collection with so many great artists. As a kid, I imagined that the only way my work would be under the same roof as Dali, Rodin, Motherwell, or Hirst was to get mega rich and form my own awesome collection. Of course, my wife made me take a picture:
